Alphabetical index of every hardcore hip hop album I would rate a 7/10 or above.  (Related indexes: Abstract Hip Hop , Conscious Hip Hop ) Hardcore hip hop is a relatively broad blanket term; it may include the genres of "horrorcore", some "industrial hip hop", "boom bap" and "gangsta rap", along with rare incidents of other subgenres. Generally, the term hardcore hip hop is applied to an album that heavily features confrontation and aggression as a listening experience. Projects in this style are often boastful, vulgar, and hedonistic. Beats are often heavy, and the vocal delivery aggressive. Much of the genre doesn't click with me, and those that do often require me to be in a certain mood. Generally, the ones under the umbrella I come back to most often are paired with other genres and are more conceptual or thought-provoking. Nevertheless, I admittedly do enjoy a lot; these are listed below. 1. Backxwash - I Lie Here Buried With My Rings ...

Alphabetical index of every conscious hip hop album I would rate at or over 7/10. (Related indexes:  Abstract Hip Hop ) Conscious hip hop is a genre whose lyrics deal with social and political issues. It is often more poetic and subtle than other hip hop subgenres. Typically, it is less hedonistic and vulgar, and often has ties to more laid back and lyrics-based genres such as jazz rap. However, in other instances, it can be quite angry and rebellious as well, with parallels to political hip hop and other protest music. 1. Avantdale Bowling Club - Trees  ||  Jazz Rap, Conscious Hip Hop  ||  2022  ||  lush, drugs, mellow  ||  USA  ||  8/10     Key tracks: Rent 2 High, Without You, Still Feel Broke 2. Blu & Exile - Below the Heavens  ||  Conscious Hip Hop, West Coast Hip Hop, Boom Bap, Jazz Rap  ||  2007  ||  uplifting, mellow, urban  ||  USA  ||...

Alphabetical index of all abstract hip hop albums I would rate a 7/10 or higher. (Related indexes:  Conscious Hip Hop ) Abstract hip hop is atypical of the parent genre in that lyrics are often cryptic and rely more on metaphor and stream-of-consciousness than shock value and hedonism. These elements can still be present, but the unique songwriting and lyrics lend a distinct flavor. Abstract hip hop is often paired with other primary genres. 1. Aesop Rock - The Impossible Kid  ||  Abstract Hip Hop, East Coast Hip Hop  ||  2016  ||  cryptic, complex, conscious  ||  USA  ||  9/10     Key tracks: Blood Sandwich, Shrunk, Rings 2. Ağaçkakan - Uyuyan Adam  ||  Abstract Hip Hop, Experimental Hip Hop, Industrial Hip Hop  ||  2013  ||  anxious, rhythmic, suspenseful  ||  Turkey  ||  9/10     Key tracks:  Palto ve Kozmos, Prusya Mavis...
