"Gaian Doom is a subgenre of doom metal that combines elements of traditional doom metal with folk and ambient music. It is characterized by slow, heavy riffs, often with acoustic guitar accompaniment, and often incorporates elements of nature, such as birdsong, wind, and rain. Volt.fm ) Additionally, the vocals are pretty much always female. There seems to be a lot of overlap with genres such as gothic rock, ethereal wave, and some heavier variants of psych music.
