Underground Listmaker

Indie folk is a more recent genre than contemporary or avant-folk, coming to prevalence in the 1990s with Neutral Milk Hotel's landmark record In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. The difference between a starter kit and a box set is simply one of volume. A box set contains my favorites from a genre I am very well acquainted with. A starter kit includes a list of music from a genre / theme that intrigues me, but that I have limited experience with. This is my first starter kit. I have listened to a lot of experimental rock, but much of it is well known stuff.
